Meiji Restoration (jan 10, 1868 – oct 10, 1912)
Description:
The Meiji restoration was a period of time that Emperor Meiji ruled in Japan. He heavily industrialized and westernized Japan and brought it into modern times. He saw the progress being made in other parts of the world and sent people to pick and choose the best things to use in his country. He modernized his country very well, but did make the life of his lower class difficult until they adressed the problem decades later. Key concepts 5.3&5.1
