William Lloyd Garrison (1805 - 1879) was an American abolitionist, journalist, and social reformer. His most influential work was the creation of "The Liberator", an abolitionist newspaper.
Garrison was significant because of his work with the abolitionist movement. Aside from his paper, Garrison helped form the New England Antislavery Society.
