Mesopotamia (may 18, 689 BC – mar 20, 612 BC)
Description:
The Assyrians were feared for their military power. Under cruel dictators, their armiers included horses and chariots, battering rams and catapults. Among their leaders were Sennacherib and Ashurbanpial. The Babylonians were more cultural, producing great mathematicians, ziggurats, and impressive clay statues. Both powers struggled over the Mesopotamian region
