Norway (apr 10, 1940 – may 16, 1940)

Description:

Icewall attempt to reach Norway, but engaged in naval battle to little effect. Liz and John Cooper escape the wreck, however HM is hit in such a way that he becomes trapped beneath the ship, unable to heal, near the coast of Norway.

For 3 weeks Liz and John lead a group of Norwegian civilians (and several Finnish volunteers that came with them) in the successful defense of a small coastal town. In this time LIz would search the Baltic sea for HM's core.

On the 3rd of May she was successful, but the war in Norway had already turned sour, and the allies had evacuated. Regardless, Icewall (now consisting of HM, Liz, John, 3 Finnish veterans and about 20 Norwegian militia) continued as the last remnants of strong resistance in the South for several days, while making their way to Hegra fortress. However, when they reached it on the 9th it had already fallen. Knowing there was likely little more they could do, Icewall decided to make their way to the coast and attempt to establish a discreet base from which to grow in future.

On the way there, they receive word of Germany's invasion of France, and the core three members of Icewall (along with bloodthirsty Finnish veteran Gudmund) attempted to head to France where they would be more useful.
