Marco Polo works with Kublai Khan (jan 14, 1275 – jan 13, 1291)

Marco Polo meets the great Kublai Khan and Kublai Khan is very impressed with the you foreigners. The Great Khan is so impressed by his quick learning he employs the Young Venetian as a spy to travel around the country to see if all the different tribes were happy under his rule. Marco Polo, first went around in Xanadu and learnt the bills were made from Mulberry bark then sealed with and imperial seal to be sold for gold and gems, this is probably the first time an European has discovered banknotes. When travelling Marco is quickly impressed by the advanced road system. Trees are planted so people don't get lost in the winter and to protect people from the sun in summer. He then reaches Fengyuan now known as Xian. He also noticed that every 25-30 miles a imperial post provided lodgings and horses to travellers. He then reached Pagan and because the Mongols recent victory over the Kingdom of Pagan he could of travelled to Pagan. He then travelled through South- East and crossed the Yellow River, which he discovered was very flat which allowed mass rice production. He then reaches Yangui in which he claims to be Governor for a three years. which could possibly be fictional as there are no records of this happening. He then reaches Suzhou the city of Silk with many canals which is the also known as the Venice of China. Finally he arrives in Khinzai the ancient capital of the Song Dynasty, which is Great and Modern with Great paved roads.
