Description:
The Spanish-American War was an armed conflict between Spain and the United States.
After USS Maine exploded, killing 200 crewmembers, a group of journalists known as yellow journalists, who were famous for their sensational headlines, blamed Spain for the incident.
Immediately, Americans had a growing desire to go to war with Spain, and so the President McKinley declares war on Spain.
The war ends with a decisive U.S. victory
