Description:
After the division of the Mongol emipre on Kublai Khan's death, the Northwest Khanate which had expanded into Rus became known as the Golden Horde. They adopted Islam in the fourteenth century and were in power until the sack of the capital, Sarai, by the Crimean Tatars in 1502.Added to timeline:
