Description:
Causes: Frederick II of Prussia invades Saxony, hoping to preemptively strike down an alliance between Saxony, Austria, and France against Prussia. This action created the alliance he feared.
Participants: Prussia (w/ British support) vs. France, Austria, Sweden, Saxony, and Russia (for the first 6 years)
Outcome: Treaty of Paris of 1763
British Empire obtained control over Canada and much of Northeast North America, and in doing so returned the territories in India, Mexico, and Martinique to the French
