Description:
- Isolationists senators and representative in both parties held majority of Congress which led to the adoption a series of neutrality acts:
- The Neutrality Act of 1935 authorize president to prohibit all arms shipment and forbid US citizens from travel on the ship of nation in war
- The Neutrality Act of 1936 forbade extension of loans and credit to nation in war
- Neutrality Act of 1937 forbade shipment of arms to opposing sides in civil war in Spain.
