Description:

Part of containment- Support for Vietnam against Vietcong (communist)
-many, many, many casualties
-the first war where the people saw pure unfiltered war footage -> people against the war
-many soldiers began killing their commander because they didn't want to fight in the war anymore
-when vets came home- called baby killers and spat on because they had committed atrocities on the orders of their commanders
