John Adams (jan 20, 1797 – jan 19, 1801)
Description:
John Adam's Presidency as a Federalist was marred through tight tensions with France. Besides preparing for that possible war he passed the Alien and Sedition acts, established the library of Congress, and was the First President to live in the White House with his wife Abagail Adams. This also formally made the capitol of the United States Washington D.C. as it was formally Philly.
