Arrow War (jan 1, 1856 – jan 1, 1860)
Description:
The Arrow War, also known as the Second Opium War, is another war waged by Britain and France on the Qing Empire, because it failed to follow through with some statements in the Treaty of Nanking, which had ended the Opium War. Britain and France were able to easily invade Qing China. Once they did so, they set forth a new list of provisions and new round of treaties and effectively ended the Taiping Rebellion.
