Munich Conference (sep 30, 1938 – jan 1, 0)
Description:
On September 30, 1938, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, and France all met in Munich, Germany. In this meeting, Germany stated they would start a European war if they weren't granted leadership over Sudentenland, ( the German-speaking area of Czechoslovakia.) In an attempt to appease Germany and prevent war France and Britain pressured Czechoslovakia into agreeing. Germany then broke the agreement 6 months later.
