Bombing of Dresden (feb 13, 1945 – feb 15, 1945)

Description:

The city of Dresden's defenses were weak due to Hitler focusing the surviving German forces to Berlin.
On February 13, the Royal Air Force dropped over 2,500 tons of explosive bombs and incendiaries. More than 300 U.S. bombers continued the attack later in the day.
On February 15, 200 U.S. bombers dropped over 1,240 tons of explosive bombs and incendiaries. Later, the Eighth Air Force would drop 2,800 more tons of bombs on Dresden in three other attacks.
