Description:

Cuban Missile Crisis (refer to section)
Quarantine Zones - Kennedy established quarantine zones after Soviet missiles were found in Cuba. Said that if any weapons were fired by Cuba, the US would attack the USSR.
Peace Speech - Speech given by Kennedy about wanting peace between the US and USSR. In agreement with Krushchev about the idea of peaceful coexistence.
Berlin- He wanted to improve relations and the situation in Berlin but the Soviets instead built the Berlin Wall
The Bay of the Pigs- was a huge failure with trying to reestablish democracy and western beliefs in Cuba (refer to Cuban missile crisis for more info)
The Space Race: 1961; JFK expanded the US space program
