The Franks betrayed Svatopluk and installed frankish nobles as rulers of Great MoraviaThere was an uprising and Svatopluk was sent to put it down, but he joined the rebels and pushed Franks out of Moravia.

He was the first ruler of GM called king.
His sons Svatopluk II. and Mojmir II. lost the empire
