Earth's 2nd "Renaissance" (jul 2, 2014 – jan 1, 2026)

Description:

Due to the stability caused by the Augment led Eastern Coalition, the world sees a brief renaissance in which Science and the Arts are held above all else. This period also marks an increase in human psycho-diversity, slowly weakening the bonds of social order due to too many differing opinions on the purpose of society.

Meanwhile, the wealth gap in places such as the US and Russia leads to a major surge in homelessness and poverty. Most countries outside the ECON segregate their underrepresented populace, interring them in rundown sections of the cities, or killing them on sight in more remote areas.

It is a time of growth for the ECON, and the slow disintegration of the Western Powers due to centuries of colonialism.
