Description:

General Albert Johnston's army engaged General Ulysses Grant's army at Tennessee when they were headed to capture a rail road in Corinth, MS. The Union forces under Sherman were caught off guard by the Confederate army's attack, due to Sherman's disbelief about the reports about the Southerns marching towards them. The Union forces were eventually able to overwhelm the Confederates and take control of the area. The Union won, it brought Grant to the forefront and General Albert Johnston lost his life.
