Roosevelt's New Deal (feb 10, 1933 – jul 15, 1937)
Description:
The New Deal was a set of plans made to reverse the depression by Franklin D. Roosevelt. 47 government programs were created to aid the unemployed and provide relief to farmers. It didn't solve the depression, but it assisted in increasing the economy before the war. A few programs created with the New Deal affect modern society--that is the minimum wage, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
