Description:

When Mary died, Elizabeth I would take over the throne. She was determined to lead England back to Protestantism. In 1559, Parliament had followed Elizabeth's wishes and formed the Anglican Church, with Elizabeth as its head. Elizabeth had established the church to accept both Catholics and Protestants. Elizabeth faces other problems such as the Catholic people trying to overthrow her and the Protestants pushed her to make more far-reaching church reforms.
