Padre Miguel Hidalgo (may 8, 1753 – jul 30, 1811)
Description:
He was born on May 8th 1753 and died on July 30th 1811. He liberated Mexico and on september 16th 1810 Mexico celebrated their first independence day. Hidalgo is best remembered for his speech, the “Grito de Dolores” (“Cry of Dolores”), which called for the end of Spanish colonial rule in Mexico.
