The Mughal Empire, was an early modern Islamic Empire in South Asia. Their first emperor Babur, conquered the Indian Kingdom and it lasted from 1500 to 1700. They were modern because they made gunpowder and cotton gin. The famous Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Empire.Added to timeline:
