Description:
This marks the last day the Soviet flag flew and the beginning of a new Russian Republic.
-Former Soviet Republics were now considered independent.
-It was partially cause by Mikhail Gorbachev because he had a more relaxed approach in terms of government and economic controls.
-There was an attempt to replace Mikhail Gorbachev but it did not succeed.
-As a result of the Fall of the Soviet Union, the former republic gained independence.
-Also the relationship between the US and Russia continue to improve in a positive way.
