Frederick North (jan 1, 1770 – jan 1, 1782)
Description:
“Men may be popular without being ambitious, but there is hardly an ambitious man who does not try to be popular.”
Lord North was widely condemned for bringing the country into the american war of independence, and for asserting the authority of the crown against parliament. modern historians tend to view him rather as a victim of events than a poor leader. He was however an indecicive vacillating prime minister
