Ulysses S. Grant (mar 3, 1868 – mar 3, 1872)
Description:
Ulysses was the head commander for the North during thew Civil War and used the strategy of waving the bloody shirt and recounting war memories to win the presidency. He was a Republican candidate who ran on the platform of continued reconstruction. His campaign strategy would be duplicated for years to come and won w 214 electoral votes, Mississippi, Texas, Virginia, unreconstructed states not counted.
