The Larifien Revolution (may 1, 1071 – jan 27, 1077)

Description:

Larifien people and nobles rebelled against Daprania for independence

Larifien Independence Movement (LIM) (supported by Uytile) vs Daprania (supported by Oipientia)

PHASE I (1071.05.01~1074.10.11) Noble Phase
Larifien nobles demand more freedom and rights from Dapranian nobles. Daprania declines and the Larifien nobles gather together in Brarith and sign the Principles of the Rights of Larifien Nobles. This document marked the beginning of the Larifien Revolution and the beginning of a independent Larifien state. Daprania sent in soldiers to seize the lands of the rebelling Larifien nobles but this failed when the Larifien nobles used guerilla tactics against them. The end of the first phase came with the Horse Riot of 1074.

PHASE II (1074.10.12 ~ 1075.02.14) Popular Phase
The beginning of the second phase occurred with the Horse Riot of 1074, where hundreds of Larifien serfs overtook Castle Birar in Brarith where the residing Dapranian noble, Lord Relsvaul Umen, was executed by them. During the riot, the use of Szahan horses by the serfs helped keep local forces away from the main center of the riot and this is what led to the riot's name. Phase II was mainly directed by the Larifien lower classes and the Larifien nobles use of the new Army of Larifien. All over the Dapranian Protectorate of Larifien serf riots occurred and this led to the chaos of the last and final phase of the Larifien Revolution.

PHASE III (1075.02.15 ~ 1077.01.27) Phase of Carnage
The Phase of Carnage was dominated by the bloodiest riots and skirmishes of the revolution and the rise of the Larifien clergy. The end of the Popular Phase was marked by the influential Riot of Penau where both the Larifien serfs and Larifien nobles took part in burning down the Dapranian built castle, Svaraq Castle. The involvement of the Larifien nobles working with the serfs in the riot became the norm and this is what led to the mass carnage of the final phase of the Larifien Revolution. The northern Larifien nobles used their raised levies to block off the routes to and from Daprania to force the residing Dapranian nobles to either surrender or perish. The majority of Dapranian nobles chose to fight the revolutionaries and this led to the common public executions of the Dapranian noble families. In the end, the Dapranian Svalor at the time, Svalor Isvapa Qemmiq, officially allowed the full independence of the Larifien Kingdom and agreed to pulling out the remaining Dapranian noble families, thus ending the Larifien Revolution.
