The Armenian Genocide (apr 24, 1915 – apr 30, 1917)
Description:
Officially observed on April 24th, 1915, the Ottomans, deported and exterminated 1.5 million Armenians out of fear that they may be conspiring against them with the Russians.
Rumors of these atrocities reached the Allies and were confirmed. They promised to defeat the Ottoman Empire and make the people who did the genocide responsible.
