Description:
Naomi, Stephen (Naomi's brother), and Obasan, are required to travel to an Internment Camp located in Slocan. They're being forced to leave their home due to the segregation of Japanese people that was happening all over Canada during this period of time. They had to figure out how to live in the town without running water and little food. This shows that the government is treating Japanese-Canadians unequally which is a form of discrimination.Added to timeline:
