1930s- Metis Dance troupe (dec 1, 1930 – sep 1, 1939)

Description:

Dion organized a group of Metis familiar with the cultural dances. They travelled to Quebec, putting on shows, performances, and presentations to display Metis tradition and culture. The troupe had goals in mind. They hoped that bringing the traditions to life for the dominant culture would dispel negative stereotypes about Metis people and the Indigenous community, and create good relations with the public.
