European settlement and taking of Aboriginal land. (jan 26, 1788 – jan 1, 1837)

Description:

Australia was considered 'Terra Nullius', meaning 'land belonging to no-one.' As European settlers and convicts migrated to Australia they believed that they had the right to claim all of Australian land. Aboriginals were decimated as the colonists didn't see anything wrong with killing or murdering them in order to 'protect their families and livestock.' Aboriginal numbers greatly decreased.

In this way, more and more Aborigines and their clans were pushed of land, having to leave watering holes, hunting spots and religious / spiritual sites behind.
