Dion gave aid and encouragement to the Metis and Indigenous of Alberta (jan 1, 1920 – jan 1, 1950)

Description:

He travelled around Alberta, visiting communities victim to poverty and lack of care and education. He provided counselling and encouragement in their tough times. The communities he visited were also in dire need of aid and medicine because the health and strength of the people were dwindling. Since he had the qualifications of a teacher, he personally provided education free of charge to the communities. The communities appreciation and gratitude for his help was expressed through the funds they raised for him to use to continue his travels around Alberta.
