String Dupe (dec 7, 2021 – dec 14, 2021)

Description:

The first public mention of the string dupe in the queue community was by charzaruni on December 7, 2021. As a result of him reporting the dupe to Boone, building permissions on all plots were disabled the next day. The dupe would be patched on December 14, 2021 by not allowing players to place string or tripwire hooks. Measures were also taken to prevent players from holding or picking up tripwire hooks. Kronobolt was also banned for a week for abusing the string dupe.
