The Fifth Console Generation (jan 29, 1993 – jan 6, 2005)

Description:

This included the Sega Saturn, Play Station, N64, Atari Jaguar and the Gameboy colour. These were using 3D graphics with textures which was a big upgrade from the previous generation and they used CD based audio. These had FMV and Pre-rendered cut scenes with 24 bit true colour and analogue controllers with basic lighting.
