The First Console Generation (jan 26, 1972 – jan 3, 1980)

Description:

This generation included the Magnavox Odyssey, Atari, Tv Electo Tennis, Magnavox Odyssey 3000. These started home consoles, these had low spectrum colours and the gaphics were basic dots but everything was contained on the hardware and later on in the timeline they introduced overlays to give the game some colour. These were important because they started the home console craze that's still happening today.
