Description:
A conflict in which the plebeians sought political representation and safeguards against patrician domination. They managed to do so by a strike in 494 B.C.E. Plebeians were used a lot in the infantry. As per strike, they walked out of the army, basically forcing the patricians to give them more advantages. They were afterwards allowed to select Tribunes. It resulted in wealthy Plebeians gaining access to all offices in Rome and in a expansions of power to wealthy Plebeians. In theory, all men could now aspire to the highest political officials. In reality it only had been expanded slightly and still resided in the most wealthy families for the biggest part.
