Land Conservationist of open exceptionalism. Believed that Americans should seek to extract resources from land in a way that preserves its beauty. Similar to George Washington Carver.
Closed exceptioanlism believed the dominion mandate in Genesis 1 allowed for doing whatever you wanted with the land. Open exceptionalists believed in preserving it while extracting its resources.
