Japanese Expansion (jan 1, 1874 – jan 1, 1910)
Description:
The Japanese Expansion copied the western-style imperialism. They did this because they had wealth and power and shared it among nations and they wanted to do the same, and it also benefited them. From there, the Japanese began their expansion close to their home. The Ryukyu belonged to China, yet Japan took control over it. Later on China began to worry about Japan's growing influence.
