Description:
Created on November 9, 1943 as the result of an agreement between 44 nations, the UNRRA was an administrative body that ran a social welfare program, providing relief to civilians during WWII - Camps with care for refugees - Assistance with agricultural and economic rehabilitation - Distribution of food, clothing, medicine, etc.
It will be replaced by the Marshall Plan in April 1948, and the World Health Organization (also created in April 1948) and the International Refugee Organization (created in 1946) will take on many of the responsibilities once held by the UNRRA.
