Missouri Compremise (mar 2, 1820 – jan 1, 1854)

Description:

To keep things balanced between the free and slave states, the Missouri Compromise was passed on March 2nd, 1820. The compromise declared that any Northern Lousiana Perchause Lands would become free states. This would mean that Missouri would become a slave state and that Maine would become a free state. This compromise would later be repealed by the Kansas-Nebraska Act in 1854.
