-Believed empirical psychology was possible (experience --> reflection --over time--> formulate mathematical explanations)
-Psych needs math to be a science, so he put math in psych (e.g. assigning different quantifiable "weights" to ideas, differing based on importance)
-Expanded on the research of apperception and discovered the existence of apperceptive mass and concluded that the mind is a dynamic entity
-The first to officially declare psychology as a science and is therefore known as one of the founding figures
