Anarchy and Division (may 24, 2076 – jul 31, 2078)

Description:

Gifted humans developed their powers during periods of intense stress or fear, often having the unfortunate side effect of harming or killing people who happened to be around them. A majority of these powered humans had little-to-no control over their powers and lashed out when they were angry or scared which made tensions rise further. Because of their new feelings of confidence and unstoppability that often came with their new abilities, their powers manifested in harm and almost made much of the world fall deeper into chaos.

This new terrifying threat covered the media with their unnatural and foreign powers terrified the public. These new abilities were frequently blamed on aliens or government testing by news media and tinfoil hat conspirators alike.
This was eventually proved not to be the case, but the slang “Unnatural” stuck around. Chaos was raining down and the population of the powerless was quickly plummeting.
