John Wesley E (jan 1, 1703 – jan 1, 1791)

Description:

Anglican priest who went to Georgia as a pastor in 1736. Traveled with a Moravian ship. His experience of their faith caused him to question the sincerity of his. Recorded his own salvation as happening after his return to England. Worked with George Whitefield.
Though a faithful Anglican minister, his and his followers' theological distinctions caused tension throughout his life. Eventually, they split off and established the Methodist Church.
