Jacobus Arminius (jan 1, 1560 – jan 1, 1609)
Description:
Dutch theologian who disagreed with Calvin on predestination. In almost every other way, he was a strict Calvinist (doctrine of the church and sacraments). The Remonstrants wrote the Remonstrance in 1610 to outline the five articles of Arminianism.
