Appointed Johann Tetzel to sell indulgences. Opposed Luther and his theses. Tasked Cajetan to cause Luther to recant at the Imperial Diet in Augsburg (which failed). Later sent papal bull condemning Luther. Finally called to appear at Imperial Diet of Worms in 1521.Added to timeline:
