Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings

Description:
- Montezuma County, Colorado
- Made by Ancestral Puebloan peoples
- Made out of sandstone, mud mortar, and wood bviagas (poles)
- Dwellings were built into the side of a cave beneath a cliff, and many of the houses were supported by wooden beams. Some houses contained murals and paintings with geometrical designs of plants and animals
