Description:

- The parallel government of Satara was also known as "Patri Sarkar". The person who was instrumental in organizing it was "Nana Patil, YB Chavan"

- The model of the parallel government in Satara was based on the “Gramrajya” of Aundh

- There were three arms of the Gram Rajya which developed:
**Compromise Committee
**Various group committees and group bodies

**"Toofani Sena" --> who were a militia of primarily peasant youth
- The "Nyaydan Mandal"(village tribunal) was the most important institution of the Gram Rajya
