Ghadr Programme
➢ Lala Har Dayal assumed leadership of the immigrant Indian community and, in May 1913, the need for a central organisation was met with the setting up of the "Pacific Coast Hindustan Association, often linked with the Hindi Association of the Pacific Coast", which later changed its name to "Hindustan Ghadar Party"
➢ Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna was elected the President, Lala Har Dayal the General Secretary and Pandit Kanshi Ram Maroli the Treasurer at the first meeting of the Association, which was also attended by others. Decisions were taken to set up a headquarters by the name of Yugantar Ashram in San Francisco and start a weekly paper, the Ghadar, for free circulation
