Riot Games creates Onslaught (jan 1, 2007 – oct 27, 2009)

Description:

A rough design of League of Legends, Onslaught was brought to the Game Developer Conference, where Riot decided to publish the game by themselves. Changing the name to League of Legends: Clash of Fates, Riot Games continued to grow and work on League of Legends with funding from the Chinese publishing company Tencent. In mid 2008, Riot got rid of the platform they had spent a year on in favor of a larger backend platform for a larger scale. Eventually, League of Legends: Clash of Fates is shortened to just League of Legends.
