The Elites of the Javician Merchant Class demanded more rights and more power for themselves. The Javician nobles disagreed and fighting broke out between the two classes. The conflict was won by the merchants who then began to rule large swaths of land either outside or inside major cities. A good example of a merchant family highly influencing a major city through their use of land ownership and control was the Ebrith family in Rebinethi.
