Bleeding Kansas (dec 31, 1854 – jan 1, 1859)

Description:

Bleeding Kansas was the result of the Kansas- Nebraska act. After people could vote for the state (popular sovereignty ) many people outside the state would come and vote which lead to violence. The Bleeding Kansas raised tension and violence among the north and south which eventually was a factor that caused the war.
